Up at 6:15. I heard it lightly rain last night. This morning it's cloudy with low-lying mist. It slowly cleared to be a beautifully sunny morning. The panoramic view from the first French Annapurna North Base Camp was spectacular from Nilgiri to Tilicho Peak, the Grande Barriere, and, of course, dominating everything Annapurna! “Far above, so high that one had to tilt one’s head backwards to see it, was Annapurna, resplendent, dominating everything as a goddess should” (Maurice Herzog, Annapurna).
